This privacy policy applies solely to the Android application Volt Battery Health Widget (package com.minimal.batterywidget, referred to here as "the App"), published on Google Play by GeorgyGeorgy ("we", "us", "our"). It describes how the App accesses, uses, stores, and shares data.

1. Data we collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data whatsoever. No data of any kind leaves your device.

The App contains no INTERNET permission. It is technically incapable of making a network request, which means there is no server, no account, no sign-in, and no mechanism by which information could be sent to us or to anyone else. We receive nothing about you or your device, and we could not receive it even if we wanted to.

2. Data the App reads and stores on your device

To do its job, the App reads battery information that Android already makes available to applications on your device: charge level, charging status, voltage, temperature, electrical current, charge counter, and where the device exposes it, battery cycle count.

To estimate battery health over time, the App records a history of charging sessions — start and end charge level, the corresponding charge readings, and duration — together with your calibration settings. This history is stored only in the App's private storage on your own device. It is not personal information, it is not transmitted anywhere, and no other application can read it.

You can erase this history at any time from within the App using Calibration & Settings → Reset Health Data. Uninstalling the App also removes it completely.

3. Permissions

The App requests no Android runtime permissions. It does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, phone state, or any device identifier such as IMEI, advertising ID, or serial number.

The single permission declared in the App's manifest is RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, a normal (non-sensitive) permission that Android does not prompt for. It is used for one purpose only: to redraw your home screen widgets after the device restarts. It grants no access to your data.

4. Third-party services

The App contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporting, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. There are no ads. No data is shared with any third party, because no data is collected and no network connection is possible.

Following the in-app privacy policy link opens this page in your browser; that request is handled by your browser and this site's host, and we receive no personal data from it.

Your purchase of the App is processed by Google Play under Google's own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because the App transmits no user data, we hold no user data, and there is nothing for us to retain or delete. The charging history described in section 2 lives only on your device, under your control, and is removed when you reset it or uninstall the App.

6. Children's privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It does not knowingly or unknowingly gather information from children, as it gathers no information at all.

7. Security

No user data is transmitted by the App, which removes the risk of that data being intercepted in transit. On-device data is held in the App's private storage area, which Android isolates from other applications. The App is distributed exclusively through Google Play and is signed with a private release key held by the developer.

8. Accuracy of battery health readings

Battery health is an estimate derived from readings your device exposes. On some devices the necessary hardware readings are unavailable, in which case the App tells you so rather than displaying a figure. Nothing the App reports should be treated as a manufacturer diagnostic or as a warranty assessment.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the App's Google Play listing.

10. Contact us
